Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is a non-intrusive treatment that reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, or discolorations of the skin. A medical laser is used to gently remove layers of skin featuring scars, acne-scarring, tattoos, or other skin imperfections to reveal a smoother, more youthful surface. This procedure only takes about 30-60 minutes if small sections of the skin are being targeted, but patients can expect a longer procedure time if the treatment covers all of the face. Sometimes multiple sessions of laser skin resurfacing are necessary to achieve the desired results. Patients are advised to wear sunscreen every day and limit time in the sun as this new layer of healthy, beautiful skin is being exposed. Dr. Bauder and his experienced staff treat patients with care and gentleness during all laser skin resurfacing treatments.
Hyperpigmentation laser treatment is designed to diminish overly pigmented areas of the skin, including sun spots, redness, acne scarring, general hyperpigmentation and other types of scars. This procedure sends wavelengths of light therapy to the skin to improve skin tone without downtime. Hyperpigmentation laser treatment can be performed in less than an hour, depending on the area being targeted. Patients may experience redness or swelling following the procedure, but it will subside in a few days.
